Bone or Veggie Broth...Which to Choose and Why?
Last week, our team member in the spotlight was Anjaneya, a lover of
both bone broth and our nourishing vegan broth. This week we’re covering
the benefits of both. Anjaneya loves to combine the two as each variety
has nutritious and delicious health and wellness benefits.
What is bone broth?
Bone broth, also referred to as a stock, is culinary infusion made
by boiling bones of healthy animals with vegetables, herbs and spices.
It can be made from the bones of beef, bison, lamb, poultry, or fish,
and vegetables and spices are usually added for extra nutrition and
flavor.
Rich in minerals, bone broth also encourages a healthy immune system
and supports digestion. High in calcium, magnesium and phosphorus, bone
broth also supports bone and tooth health. Bone broth has high
amounts of collagen thereby supporting joints, hair, skin, and nails. In
fact, some even suggest that it helps eliminate cellulite as it
supports smooth connective tissue.

And for you Vegans and Vegetarians
For all you veggies and vegans out there, Beyond Broth has developed
a variety of broth that is full of both flavor and nutrition. Say
good-bye to boullion! All vegan and vegetable broths are both
mineralizing and alkalizing. They help to bring balance to a body that
consumes acidic-rich foods like coffee, red meat and sugar. Vegan broths
also contain phytonutrients that support the immune system. Some
broths, especially Beyond Broth contain vegetables that aid in the
production of collagen in the body, including but not limited to beets
and spinach. Other vegetables include celery, seaweed, kale and
soybeans.
